A custom aluminum staircase
The new exterior aluminum staircase features 95 steps and 5 landings. Each step is slip-resistant, ensuring maximum safety for users even in wet conditions. The lightweight yet sturdy metal structure is securely anchored to the ground, while the entire pathway is equipped with continuous handrails and mesh panels along its full length, providing complete protection and a seamless integration into the natural environment.
In-house design and fabrication
The staircase was entirely designed and manufactured in-house by Omnifab’s teams. The cutting, machining, laser cutting, mechanical, design, and engineering departments worked together to create a precise, compliant, and durable structure. This fully integrated approach ensured strict quality control and adherence to tight production timelines—two key factors in the project’s success.
Installation in a natural environment
The installation presented a logistical challenge due to the uneven terrain and limited access. To transport the main sections, Omnifab’s team carefully planned the mobilization of materials by helicopter. This method allowed for rapid assembly, with only an hour and a half of total aerial handling, and a full installation completed in just three and a half days.
Environmentally conscious, the team minimized the number of trees cut and followed all environmental protection measures throughout the project.
